PUBG Mobile PMWL 2020 Team Facing Ping Losses Due to Playing Online?
With PUBG Mobile World League 2020 (PMWL 2020) West / West starting with Season Zero, Tencent has moved this major tournament to an online format for reasons of players’ health safety, it looks like there will be some issues the team will have to deal with as the league is held online.
PMWL even though it is scheduled to take place at the newly built Mobile PUBG studio in Katowice, Poland. PMWL 2020 will be held online, to ensure the safety of everyone involved during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, Tencent Games said that they have “implemented additional technology solutions” to ensure that all teams get the best ping during the competition. In addition, “dedicated tools and footage” will be available to ensure tournament integrity throughout the season.

Tencent added that it faces “complex challenges” affecting several Western 2020 PMWL professional teams. These teams cannot be transferred to “latency friendly countries” due to travel restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, said Tencent.
Tencent has yet to name the teams that will play with the ping loss.
There is a giveaway contest with a prize of 1 million rupiah in game vouchers in the application!
All affected teams have been given the option to compete or lose the competition and receive “fair compensation.” However, all teams refused to back down.
The PUBG Mobile team from the East Division PMWL 2020 or PMWL 2020 East are unlikely to face this ping problem.
