Koei Tecmo and Gust Finally Announce Charming JRPG Sequel to Blue Reflection

Remember the Blue Reflection? This JRPG game, which was released in 2017, had received very strong attention. One of the reasons is because the game is built with very attractive graphic quality, especially from the 3D character model that takes the style of Mel Kishida’s illustrations. Now a few years since its debut, publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust are ready to revive this IP through a large-scale project.

Through the latest announcement delivered today, there are at least three projects being prepared. One of the most interesting is the continuation of the sequel, entitled Blue Reflection Tie. Apart from the information that the game was developed specifically for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC, unfortunately there is no additional information regarding the estimated release. This game will be released in the western region under a different name, namely Blue Reflection Second Light.

In addition to the sequel, two other projects being prepared are Blue Reflection Ray and Blue Reflection Sun. Ray is the latest anime adaptation from studio JCStaff and is scheduled to be aired on April 9, 2021. Meanwhile for Sun itself is a new game from DMM Games which was developed specifically for mobile platforms (Android and iOS).

Apart from the anime that will air next month, the details of the newest game for consoles and mobile are still minimal. Even so, Koei Tecmo promises to share more information regularly, so you can follow the latest developments through the project’s official website. HERE.

For the original game, Blue Reflection is available and can be played on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC. The pegged price is still around IDR 389 for the version steam, and IDR 793 thousand which is still expensive for console version.
