Apex Legends: Legacy Shares Full Details of the Latest Olympus Map Update

Although the attention of many Apex Legends players for the Legacy update is more focused on the addition of Legend Valkyrie and 3v3 Arena mode, not a few are also looking forward to significant changes that will soon be on the Olympus map. For its ninth season, Apex Legends Lead Level Designer Dave Osei has shared full range of details what fans need to know about the changes in the Olympus map.

First, the developer seems to be trying to add more Points of Interest (POI) to Olympus, which can then be used as a foundation for new content in the future. One of the most noticeable changes in the Olympus map is the condition of the environment being infected with wild plants from a fleet called The Icarus that managed to penetrate Psamathe.

When exploring the Olympus map with this new face, players will find a different and more intimidating atmosphere. For example, how there is a scientist’s corpse that can be found, which turns out to also hold a special Key Card to open valuable loot in The Icarus. Some of the other new changes include reducing redeploy balloons and encouraging new rotations in key areas of the map.

We happened to get hands-on Apex Legends: Legacy and an exclusive interview with Respawn Entertainment. Throughout the session we got a clearer picture of the content to what new changes will be brought to the game, and arguably this ninth season is the one that caught our attention the most of all previous Apex Legends seasonal content. Instead of being curious, you can see a summary of impressions to the interview session in our article HERE.
