Besides Looking for Talented Amateur Players, New Blood Championships Also Looking For Talented Casters

In addition to looking for talented amateur players, it turns out that New Blood Championships is also looking for talent for their competition and one of them is a caster who wants to start a career in the international arena.

New Blood Championships not only think about the development of amateur players in the SEA region, but they also want to develop other talents that support a Dota 2 competition. That’s why they held a caster contest that has a total prize pool of $3,000 plus a chance for the champions. to participate as a caster at the Grand Final event in Jakarta, Indonesia in November 2017.

The following is the distribution of prizes for the caster search competition:

1st Place : $1,500
2nd Place : $1,000
3rd Place : $500

For those of you who are interested in participating in this event, all you have to do is register at www.newbloodchampionships.com/talentsearch. After you register, you will be sent a Dota 2 game trailer for 10 minutes and you have 3 days to record yourself as a caster on the trailer and then send it back to the committee. Then the jury will choose 3 finalists who will be invited to the Main Event in Jakarta with travel and accommodation costs that are fully borne by the committee.

Just like the tournament, this caster search is also only open to the SEA region, but keep in mind that casting is only allowed in English. Here are some guidelines for caster search contests:

– Keep the cast family-friendly
– No swearing, cursing, or crass language
– No racist or sexist statements
– Maintain an appropriate dress code if you are showing yourself via a webcam (not compulsory)
– No inappropriate items in the background
– Must be familiar with all broadcast applications/software
– Must cooperate with organizer/production and meet the requirement
– This competition is only open to the South East Asian region

For video casters:

– Clear audio with no background ground noise
– No echoes
– Minimum video quality 720p 30fps .avi or .mp4 file formats
– No background music
– No voices filters or added vocal effects

New Blood Championships is a talent search event for amateur players organized by Purpose Win Entertainment Limited (PWEL) and Fallout Gaming (FG) with a total prize of $40,000 or around 535 Million Rupiah. The main event of the tournament will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia in October. The winners and runners up of this event will get 1 spot in the Galaxy Battles event, which will be held in January 2018 in Malaysia. As for positions 3 and 4, they will get a position in the top 16 Open Qualifiers for the Galaxy Battles event later.
