Canada Replaces United States in The World Championships 2016 Tournament


E-Frag announced that the United States CS:GO team could not play in the 2016 The World Championships (TWC) Tournament, because until the specified time limit they failed to register their roster. The country of Canada was finally appointed to replace the United States.

The current Canadian roster is also not officially registered, it looks like players who took part in last year’s TWC such as Kory “SEMPHIS” ​​Friesen, Damian “daps” Steele and Keith “NAF” Markovic could be listed as a line-up. Last year this roster was ranked 8th after losing 2-0 to Sweden.

As we all know, China’s CS:GO team also canceled their participation in TWC 2016 due to visa problems, Singapore was finally appointed to replace it. E-frag’s The World Championships 2016 will be participated by 8 countries and will take place in Belgrade, Serbia on 6-9 October. The prize pool provided for this year’s tournament is $100,000.
