Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles Showcases the Gameplay of the Water Pillar - Giyu Tomioka

After only being confirmed for release in Japan, the fighting game Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan from CyberConnect2 has an English version released. This localized version release received support from SEGA as the publisher of the game which was finally titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles. Following the release of the Zenitsu and Inosuke gameplay trailer last week, SEGA today showcased a new gameplay that this time shows Giyu Tomioka’s cool action.

As many of you know, Giyu Tomioka is one of the Hashira who has the title of the water pillar. In addition to having a fairly good attack speed and range, Giyu also seems to have the best defense compared to other characters that have been shown so far. Instead of being curious, you can immediately see the two new trailers below:

As can be seen, in terms of presentation to the gameplay it offers is really similar to Naruto Storm. Apart from the fact that the game was made by the same developer, the arena fighter game format with Naruto Storm-style gameplay is indeed very popular and has proven successful. The visual quality is also very impressive, especially when each character uses his ultimate move which is presented with epic cinematic scenes.

The roster that the game has offered so far is quite complete and even includes side characters like Murata. Our prediction is that the next roster on display will include characters from the Demon/Devil race such as Rui to Akaza. If the game ends successfully, it is possible that CyberConnect2 will follow the same pattern as Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, where the game series continues to follow the progress of the anime until the end.

When is the Game Released?

For those who can’t wait for the game, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles is scheduled for release this year. For the platform, this game will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
