Dota Valkyries Ready to Support Women to Take Part in Dota 2 Scenario

An organization called Dota Valkyries has just launched. This organization has a mission to strengthen and support women in the Dota 2 scene. This came about at the initiative of two female Dota activists who wanted to create better and fairer conditions for female gamers.

Dota Valkyries is an organization founded by Ruby and Emma “Catfish” Brown, they created this organization with the aim of making Dota 2 more accessible and friendly to female Dota 2 players.

Ruby explained in her tweet that she was both excited and nervous about launching this project, especially after she and catfish had been working on this project seriously for a while now. Ruby said she really hopes this project will bring about a change to the Dota 2 scene, especially for female players.

Dota Valkyries itself will focus on various levels to provide the best help and support to female Dota 2 players. They do not close themselves to anyone who needs support and assistance, from pro players to casual players playing in pubs. They did this to get more female players interested in playing Dota 2.

“From pro level to casual player, we hope to inspire women from outside the scene to join the community and play Dota together. Furthermore, they also want to bring women to be able to be present on the IT stage as players.

To support future steps, Dota Valkyries wants to invite female gamers to work together and create a supportive environment in the Dota 2 scene and make women the central figure in the pro Dota 2 scene.

It’s interesting to see how Dota Valkyries will do to maximize the potential of women in the Dota2 scene, because if you look at the reality, the role of women in the Dota 2 scene is very minimal, especially the active role of women as pro players, not as shoutcasters or analysts.

Hopefully in the future the program initiated by this community can develop and bring changes to the Dota 2 scene, guys!
