GudangVoucher.com Will Launch Computer-Based Electronic Money Service

After going through a long process, finally on May 23, 2017 GudangVoucher.com (GV) managed to get permission from Bank Indonesia as a server-based electronic money issuer in Indonesia. With the official license, GV will develop its services and products more broadly in the near future. Electronic money from GudangVoucher.com will later be named GVe-Money.

GudangVoucher.com is one of the IT products from PT. Buana Media Technology (BMT), which was launched in 2003 with its founders, namely Gede Buwana Mahartapa, Made Rimbawa, Juliasto and A. Haryawirasma. At the beginning of its establishment, BMT was engaged in the development and integration of systems related to banking (internet banking). On his way, in April 2004, one of the founders of BMT saw a business opportunity at that time by establishing an online voucher purchase service because at that time online games were very popular in Indonesia.

Technological developments cannot be limited anymore, online payments are also increasingly being used by product providers. Seeing this opportunity, GV provides payments for e-commerce or e-commerce. Currently, GV has provided payment services to the Gramedia network for book sales specifically. In addition, utility service providers such as electricity vouchers and others have also started to provide online payment services.

Seeing the development of e-commerce users lately, more and more people believe in the use of online payments. Bank Indonesia has also issued regulations on e-money (electronic money) that can be issued by private parties. GudangVoucher is also interested in becoming one of the publishers of computer-based e-money, not in the form of cards like e-money in general.

With a large online transaction base, GV will develop various electronic money services in accordance with Bank Indonesia regulations and policies.
