Having Fall into the Lower Bracket, Evos Esports Wins the Mobile Legends WSL Invitational
Even though they almost qualified for the playoffs and had to fall into the lower bracket, Evos Esports Ladies showed their fangs and won the Mobile Legends Woman Star League Invitational (WSL) trophy.
In the grand final of the WSL Invitational which was held on November 8, 2020, the Evos Ladies fronted by Caramel, Violet, Funi, Pica, and Jenniee had to face their rival Siren Moon.
Not a few thought that Siren Moon would win the WSL Invitational grand final, considering their performances in the regular season and throughout the playoffs. On the other hand, the Evos Ladies looked quite struggling and were even underestimated.
However, this ladies tiger team decided to turn things around. Without being discouraged, they continued to provide consistent performance throughout the lower bracket.
In the fifth match against Belletron in the lower bracket final, Evos Esports managed to dominate with a score of 2-0. Belletron had to fall and occupy the third position in the standings.
Reaching the deciding stage, Evos Ladies covered the grand final with a 3-0 score against Siren Moon without reply. Siren Moon, who was at the top of the standings, had to admit defeat and fell to second place.

Evos Ladies’ Secret to Success in WSL Invitational
After winning the title, the two members of Evos Ladies, Fajria ‘Violet’ Noviana and Violetta ‘Caramel’ Aurelia were called for an interview. In their conversation, they explained their struggles throughout the tournament.
“Yes, we are the most underestimated in the regular season. In the four invited teams, we are the most underestimated,” said Caramel in a WSL interview. “We don’t want to be under it, right? Moreover, seeing MPL and MDL lose, Evos will be insulted even more. We want to prove it to everyone.”
In the interview, Violet also briefly explained the training they went through in preparation for WSL.
“Two months before the playoffs, we all went to Jakarta. In those two months, we practiced intensively. We practice every day, except Saturday and Sunday,” explained Caramel. “Before the playoffs in the last week until the playoffs, we practice Monday through Friday, two scrims from 4 to 12 at night.”
Eight hours of hard work did not betray the results. Congratulations to Evos Esports for the title, and GGWP to Siren Moon and Belletron Battle Angels!
Hopefully there will be more ladies-only esports tournaments in Indonesia!
