Junkie XL Officially Working on Tomb Raider Reboot Score
Dutch musician and film composer Junkie XL (Antonius Tom Holkenborg) has confirmed that he will be working on the score for the reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise starring Alicia Vikander. Junkie XL has collaborated with Hans Zimmer in Inception and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Holkenborg also started making soundtrackitself, including for Deadpool and Mad Max: Fury Road. After Zimmer retired from cultivation soundtrack superhero film, Holkenborg announced as composer for Justice League which will come. However, things didn’t go well, and he left the project and was replaced by Danny Elfman.
In addition to Vikander, the project reboot Tomb Raider It also stars Walton Goggins (Justified, The Hateful Eight) who has joined as the main villain Father Mathias Vogel, and Into the Badlands actor Daniel Wu plays the captain of a ship who helps Lara Croft find her father, Lord Richard Croft, played by Dominic West.
Warner Bros. and MGM along with GK Films have selected scriptwriter Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Transformers 5) to handle this Tomb Raider script. The project’s producer Graham King said that the film’s story will revolve around the origin story of Lara Croft. This latest version of Lara Croft will be a starting page for this character and will be a more refreshing franchise.
The studio also released a synopsis of the project reboot this. The core of the plot of this film will tell the adventures of Lara Croft looking for her father who disappeared in Japan. For more details, here is the full synopsis of this film:
“Seven years after her father’s disappearance, 21-year-old Lara Croft refuses to run her family’s business empire. He preferred to work as a courier in London and study there. But then an incident made him interested again to investigate the case of his father’s disappearance. This makes him adventurous and travel to an ancient site on the coast of Japan. Suddenly this became an adventure that Lara expected, she had to be “armed” with her intelligence, tenacity and an unyielding spirit. Lara’s adventures and experiences would later make her a formidable person and earned her the nickname Tomb Raider.”
Tomb Raider Reboot will be released on March 16, 2018.
