LGD Gaming Cancels MarsTV Dota 2 League Tournament


LGD Gaming withdrew from the MarsTV Dota 2 League tournament which took place from September 28 to October 2 in Xiamen, China. From their Twitter account, LGD Gaming said that one of the players, Lu “Maybe” Yao, was unable to join the team.

LGD Gaming gave ‘Maybe’ more vacation because he had been training for months in facing The International 2016 tournament, as we all know that the physical and mental fatigue of one player can affect the overall performance of the team.

The LGD Gaming manager said that “Maybe” would be ready to compete again in the third season of the Nanyang Dota 2 Championships qualifying round. Event organizer MarsTV finally appointed the Vici Gaming team to replace LGD Gaming, there are still 2 other teams that have to compete through the Chinese Qualifiers round on 22 September.

Top teams such as Evil Geniuses, MVP.Phoenix, OG, Newbee and Team Secret received direct invitations and were confirmed to participate in the tournament for a prize pool of $250,000 or around 3.2 billion rupiah.
