Outstanding Gamer from Bandung Towards Hanoi FINAL!
Recently, the PES community was surprised by a 13-year-old boy named Rizky Faidan from Bandung who managed to become the Champion of the national PES tournament and qualified to represent Indonesia in the Southeast Asian tournament. So what’s the story, the origin of this tournament was held until Rizky was able to qualify for the event in Hanoi!
The following is an interview of our team with @Valent_MaenBola as the founder of MaenBola, admin of PES League Indonesia and Asia.
A: Where did this tournament originate from, Mr. Valent?
V: All come from PES-WE online community activities on FB, mas
A: From FB? So this is not an official tournament from Konami, right?
V: That’s right, So the story is after the end of the PES 2015 season around May-June last year; The PES League UK team asked us to prepare the PES League Asia structure for the PES 2016 season, in order to determine who the Asian representatives will appear in the PES World Finals 2016 event held at the San Siro, Milan.
A: Whoa, MILAN! So the champion of the tournament in Hanoi will appear in Milan, sir?
V: Now that’s a shame, bro, since the end of last year we have been in intensive communication with PES League UK to ensure the PES League qualification structure in Asia. However, for one reason or another that I cannot reveal to the public, to this day there has been no clarity and confirmation from Team UK and Konami, so the winner of the tournament in Hanoi will not compete in Milan.
A: From the moment you said “structure”, can you explain what is meant by “structure”?
V: Okay, what is meant by that structure is a “roadmap” or better known as the qualification level of how a PES-WE gamer around the world can participate in a tournament until finally qualifying in their respective countries or regions, which then qualify for the PES tournament. -WE world level.
A: So in Hanoi this is not an official tournament held by Konami, but how can you make an event at the Southeast Asian level like this, bro? Doesn’t it cost quite a bit to make it?
V: The strength of the community is extraordinary, bro, so because of our online activities and the uncertainty about Asia, because I know that almost every country in Southeast Asia has a regular schedule of tournaments, I propose to make an online tournament at the Southeast Asia level. , and MaenBola as the organizer which we call PES SOUTH EAST ASIA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (SEACL).
Since it was first announced to the forum, the response has been extraordinary, the rivalry between countries can be felt on social media, even though the tournament was only played online. The positive response is not only from the community in Southeast Asia, but also from the PES-WE community outside Southeast Asia, as evidenced by the many comments and requests from non-ASEAN players who always support the players and the champions.
SEA CL Season 1 – Erwan Degasa (Malaysia)
SEA CL Season 2 – Erwan Degasa (Malaysia)
SEA CL Season 3 – Ahmad Habibie (Indonesia)
SEA CL Season 4 – Bossui Rujikorn (Thailand)
SEA CL Season 5 – Bossui Rujikorn (Thailand)
As the online activity progressed, the Vietnam admin volunteered to hold an offline tournament in Hanoi. The suggestion was immediately responded to very well by all admins and agreed to send their best players to appear in the event, except for Indonesia, he3. Because when it was decided I was still confused about how to fund the team’s needs to go there.
A: Now, do you have enough funds for the team?
V: Praise God, the Indonesian team will depart on April 15-April a full team of 4 people with 2 officials to do live coverage from Hanoi; and all costs are borne by the sponsor: Rai Fitness Indonesia.
A: Wow congrats, can you tell us a little about how these 4 people were chosen or elected as representatives of Indonesia who went to Hanoi, mas?
V: Qualifications for Hanoi follow the pes league qualification standards, namely qualification via ONLINE and OFFLINE. 2 Indonesian players managed to qualify through online qualification, where Ahmad Habibie from Surabaya won 1st place in the 3rd SEA CL Season, and Batara Riasta Rizki who also came from Surabaya qualified for Hanoi by becoming runner-up in the SEA CL Season. to 4.
For the offline qualification, it was originally held only in Surabaya, which was held by EYES Entertainment. As the qualification process progressed, after we got sponsors from Rai Fitness Indonesia, a series of offline qualifications in Surabaya was connected to the City of Bandung at the Rai Fitness Gym area, Jalan Cihampelas Bandung. In this offline event, which was originally intended to find 1 Indonesian representative, it turned into 2, due to the failure of Indonesian players to win or be runners-up in the online event.
A: And Rizky who managed to come out as champion in this event, right?
V: That’s right! Rizky registered for the offline qualifying event in Bandung and surprisingly managed to become 1st place in this event.
A: Rizky can become a champion because he is really good or his opponent is not that good?
V: Hahaha, for sure because he’s good and for sure Rizky’s mentality is very good for a kid his age. Speaking of match opponents, those who appeared in the Bandung qualifiers were players with a national level, there was Lucky Maarif from Surabaya & Zacky Asyari from Jakarta who last year represented Indonesia in the Thailand national tournament. There are even old players who often participate in PES-WE tournaments also appear in this event. So Rizky’s quality has been tested both skillfully & mentally, and he deserves to be the representative of Indonesia in Hanoi.
A: Talking about the event yesterday, bro, how come there is Valent Jebreeet? Did you just get invited to enliven the event or what, bro?
V: We invited Bang Valent to yesterday’s event, because we have big visions & dreams for the Indonesian eSports community, especially the PES-WE soccer game. So before this schedule, we had several meetings to discuss & exchange ideas on how to advance Indonesian eSports to a more professional level.

A: Wow, when can you share, what’s the plan?
V: Yes, we can open ourselves to all parties who want to support eSports community activities in Indonesia
A: What are your expectations through this event?
V: There are many hopes & targets that we want to achieve from this event, both short term and long term. But in essence, we want to convey a message to the entire community & gamer community about what it means to be “Healthy Gamers, Achiever Gamers!”;
because there are still many skeptical thoughts in the general public about games, or activities related to games. Meanwhile, in the gamer community itself, there are so many game lovers, players who may be very skilled in terms of skills, but don’t know what their goals are by playing games. MaenBola is committed to building a community & creating an Indonesian eSports ecosystem that can be a healthy & positive inspiration for gamers in Indonesia & society in general.
A: Thank you for your time, congratulations & success for the Indonesian Team in Hanoi!
V: Thank you
