Pokemon GO: Power Up or Evolve?
After playing for a while, you’ll have enough PokeBalls, manage to catch some Pokemon, and even stop by at PokeStops. Then you will start asking, is it better to increase your CP or Evolve your Pocket Monsters?
It has been more than three weeks that the world has been infected with a vicious ‘virus’ called Pokemon GO, and Indonesia is no exception. Game with system Augmented Reality This is indeed not yet launched (officially) in Indonesia, but local Pokemon Masters have been able to test their ability to raise Pokemon and fight in the world. Gym.
When gathering Monsters and I fight in Gym, you will realize that the ability of your Pokemon is seen from how high Combat Power (CP) owned. The lower the CP, the smaller your chances of winning the battle.
There are two ways to increase CP, namely by training your Pokemon using Power Up, or with evolve, so they evolve into monsters level next with better abilities. But are we wise to do? Evolve when CP is low? Or should we increase the CP first then Evolve?
Before we decide which one comes first, it’s good to understand the function of the two options. Because this decision actually depends on what you want to achieve.
Powering Up to Make Your Pokemon More Tough
The first choice is Power Up. As the name suggests, Power Up intended to make your Pokemon more resilient. In order to do so, we need two things, namely Stardust and Candy.Stardust can be obtained by catching Pokemon, it doesn’t have to be of the same kind, it can be anything.Stardust also obtained when level Trainer up or exchange Coin Defender. Every Pokemon caught, you will get 100 Stardust.
Next is Candy. Besides being important for Power Up, Candy what is important for us to doEvolve. Same as Stardust, Candy can be obtained when you catch Pokemon, where you will get 3 Candy for each Monster raised according to its type.
You can also get Candy additionally by sending your Pokemon to Professor Willow.
If Stardust applies to all types of Pokemon, then Candy can only be used for similar pokemon only. Use Stardust and Candy for Power Up will certainly delay your chances of doing Evolve.
Even though specifically Power Up intended to increase CP, but does not mean directly provide a significant additional CP. Very Power Up, your Pokemon will only get an additional CP of one tenth of the total CP Pokemon you have.
With a CP increase like this, you need a few times Power Up to get pokemon with power enough to join the fight.
Yup, fighting in the arena Gym with another team. High CP certainly doesn’t mean much when you just want to collect the Monsters completely.
