Riot Games Holds Southeast Asia Valorant Esports for Pros and Colleges
2021 will be a big year for esports Valorant, especially in the Southeast Asia region. After the success of the Ignition Series, Riot games officially announced its plans to hold esports and collegiate esports to Valorant SEA in 2021. This tournament will provide an opportunity for all players, both at the professional and college level, to compete in a competitive realm Valorant.
Riot Games will collaborate with seven esports organizations to host tournaments in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

The seven organizations that will work with Riot are:
- Mineski Philippines (Philippines Esports)
- Mineski Philippines and AcadArena as two separate organizations for the Philippines Collegiate
- The Gaming Company for Malaysia Esports and Collegiate, and Singapore Esports
- Professional Gamers League and Eliphant for Singapore Collegiate
- Talon for Hong Kong Esports and Collegiate, and Taiwan Esports
- Taiwan mobile and TeSL for Taiwan Collegiate
- ESL for Thailand Esports and Collegiate
- ONE Up for Indonesia Esports and Collegiate
Some of these organizations will also handle and hold the SEA qualifying round for Valorant First Strike in the area concerned. Valorant First Strike is a global tournament announced by Riot last September.
Registration for Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand opens on October 14th. Singapore and Malaysia on 17 October. While Taiwan and Hong Kong on November 1.
To take part in the tournament Valorant First Strike, players must meet the following conditions:
- Teams must have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 6 players.
- Players must be at least 16 years old.
- Diamond Rank 1 or higher.
