RodjER NaVi Talks About the Strongest Dota 2 Region, Europe or China?
Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosian pro player from Russia/Armenia who is currently working with the Na’VI team (Natus Vincere) share observations and analysis of the Dota 2 scene in each region. As we know, for the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 there are 6 regional competitions, namely: Europe, CIS, China, Southeast Asia, North America and South America. The Na’Vi team itself finished second in the DPC CIS 2021 Season 1: Upper Division and secured a place in the group stage of the Singapore Major.
Towards the end of the first round of DPC 2021 to continue to Major Singpore, RodjER appeared in a Vlog content posted on his organization’s YouTube channel. RodjER believes that Europe is still the strongest region for Dota 2 at the moment. According to him, the China region has an exclusive style of playing games, different from the style of playing Na’Vi. On the other hand, the CIS team felt that Europe was the strongest. RodjER often watches match replays to learn the strategies and hero pick preferences of teams in Europe and the CIS.
RodjER is a mature pro player in Dota2. He started his pro career together Cleave Gaming in 2013 then moved to Team Empire. He once participated in The International 2017, where his team finished 7-8.
In September 2017, RodjER transferred to Na’Vi, at his request and became the Adrenaline Cyber League champion, taking fourth place in DreamLeague Season 8 and reaching the semifinals of MDL Macau.

This 27-year-old man has a large enough pool of heroes so he can play in four roles in the team. He saw the differences in the playing styles of European and Chinese teams, and explained why he adopted a strategy from Europe and not China. According to him Chinese teams play in a different way so learning anything from them won’t work.
“I think this (Europe) is the strongest region at the moment. Teams in China play Dota in their own way, and that’s different from all other regions. I occasionally watch their game to try and adopt something, but it won’t work because our playing styles are so different. Europe is better this way – we can learn something from strategy. I also watch a lot of their reruns and maybe listen to something else, and that’s fun too. ”
RodjER then talked about how now some teams are back using their own signature heroes.
“All teams are slowly returning to playing the old signature heroes that are their mainstay. Nigma plays Earthshaker and Venomancer, just as it did in The International 7. Furion, too, for MinD_ContRoL and Ceb. Everyone realizes that when players use a signature hero, it will be more comfortable so that they can support each other and execute the planned strategy properly,” he concluded.
