What are the opportunities for the Indonesian Dota2 Team, namely Evos Esports at WESG 2018 later in China?

The Evos Esports team is the only Indonesian dota 2 representative who will compete at the WESG or the 2018 World Electronic Sports Games in China. Evos will join Group D, along with teams Rock.Y from China, Uashki from Ukraine and Alpha-Red from Thailand.

In total there are 32 teams that will compete for the champion, from the event which provides a total prize of 1.5 million USD or around 20 billion rupiah. If you look at the teams that will compete in WESG 2018, many of which are included in the Tier 2 category, Evos Esports should have a big enough opportunity to advance to the next round.

Indeed, there are several teams that are quite strong in this WESG event, such as the EHome team from the host, China. But of course the other teams, also cannot be underestimated, such as the Happy Feet and Fire Dragoon teams who have often defeated teams from Indonesia.

For the Evos Team, it is enough to pass the group alone, they have managed to get a prize money of 135 million rupiah. And the opportunity for the Evos team to qualify for the group is quite large.

If Evos passes from Group D, either as group Champion or runner-up, then Evos will meet other teams from group B, F or H, in the second phase of the group stage.

If you look at the teams they are facing, evos should be able to bring home prizes, a minimum of 135 million rupiah, or even 330 million rupiah or more.

But of course, for all of us, what we hope is that Evos can be at least the Top 4 of this 2018 WESG. And if that happens, then Evos will take home, at least 1 billion rupiah in prize money.

The WESG 2018 event is scheduled to be held on March 13-18 2018, and unfortunately, it collided with the Dota 2 GESC Indonesia Minor event, which was also held on the same date and month.
