Yuffie is Here! Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Shares New Details

Last week’s State of Play event didn’t bring as many hype announcements as many gamers expected, but at least we’re still presented with Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. Release upgraded version from the original Final Fantasy VII Remake, this game brings many new changes ranging from sharper graphics, smoother performance, to the Quality of Life (QoL) feature. One of the most interesting new content from this latest version is definitely the addition of story episodes that focus on the character Yuffie Kisaragi and his partner Sonon Kusakabe.

To increase fans’ enthusiasm ahead of the game’s release in March, Square Enix recently shared a myriad of new details. You can see the summary below:

Intergrade Introduction

As we mentioned above, Intergrade is an upgraded version of the original FF VII Remake game specifically for the PlayStation 5. Taking advantage of the superior performance of the next-gen console, this latest version supports high-quality graphics at 4K resolution and the option to play it at 60 fps. Fast SSD performance also makes game loading times much faster now.

For players who already have the game on PlayStation 4, they can later get an upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version without having to pay (except for Japan where the price is 100 Yen). Meanwhile, additional episodes of Yuffie’s story are available in the form of additional expansions that must be purchased separately.

Graphics Upgrade

In addition to supporting graphics at high resolutions, Intergrade brings improvements to some graphic effects to make the world feel even more alive. This includes improved textures, lighting, and fog effects that make it feel realistic. If on PlayStation 4, FF VII Remake already looks very attractive, then just imagine how the graphics will look on PlayStation 5.

Added New Features

The new features that come with Intergrade are more focused on Quality of Life (QoL) to make the gaming experience more leverage. One of the most interesting of course is Photo Mode, which allows you to capture some moments in the game through screenshots that can be modified at will. You are given various options ranging from changing camera angles, filter effects, color combinations, and much more.

New Episode Focused On Yuffie

The content that is the main attraction of Intergrade is none other than the new episode of Yuffie. Taking the setting of the story precisely after the Mako Reactor 5 bombing, this latest episode tells the adventures of Yuffie and her partner Sonon on a mission to snatch special Materia from the hands of the Shinra company. Unknowingly, they end up trapped in a new fate that is unpredictable and full of consequences.

This episode will be summarized in two chapters, in which Yuffie and Sonon are available as new playable characters. During the fight you can do tag-team attacks with Sonon which makes the two feel like a fighting duo that fits together. Yuffie’s uniqueness also lies in her ability to interact with the environment, such as how she can perform Ninja-style moves by throwing shuriken, wall-running, and other acrobatic actions.

Interested in the Game?

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 5 on June 10. This game will come with Yuffie story Episodes which can be downloaded separately for players who already have the original game on PlayStation 4.
