6 Teams That Get Direct Invitations To The International 7 Have Been Announced!
The 6 teams that will be invited directly to participate in The International 7 have been announced. They are the teams that have had good achievements so far this year and deserve to go straight into the Dota 2 tournament with the biggest prize pool at the moment.
Soon the biggest Dota 2 tournament will be held at KeyArena, Seattle. Where the best Dota 2 teams from around the world will compete for the most prestigious titles and the biggest prizes in the history of E-Sports.
Until now the prize has reached 15 Million Dollars and will continue to grow until this tournament will be held.
Here are 6 teams that received direct invitations from Valve:

– Virtus.Pro
– Evil Geniuses
– Team Liquid
– Invictus Gaming
– Newbee
OG’s entry into TI7 directly is not a surprise. Seeing his achievements, namely winning the Kiev Major recently and also winning the Boston Major in 2016 and getting 2nd place at the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2017 it can be said that OG is one of the strongest candidates to win TI7.
After reaching 2nd place at the Kiev Major and having just won the DOTA Summit 7 tournament, the VP team immediately secured their place at TI7. Even though VP failed to qualify for TI6 last year, they have shown significant progress this year and they are in their best form to compete at TI7.
EG is indeed a team that has been predicted to enter TI7 directly. They managed to win the Manila Masters and showed their abilities. Although their current squad is quite different from the squad that used to win TI5 before, they have a pretty solid team at the moment and can be a strong challenger in the race for the TI7 trophy.
Team Liquid is also one of the strongest teams this year as they managed to become the defending champions in the 2017 and 2016 EPICENTER tournaments. Then they also managed to win the StarLadder i-League Invitational #2 last May. It seems they will try to reach the championship position at TI7 later.
The invitation to the iG team was quite surprising. They did manage to win the Dota 2 Asia Championships but then they only got mediocre results in the following tournaments. However, they managed to beat the OG team several times in various tournaments and managed to reach the 3rd and 4th positions in the previous 2 Majors. Hopefully at TI7 they can show their best performance.
The Newbee team is a team that managed to rise slowly. After their failure at the Kiev Major, they slowly recovered and became 2nd place in the Manila Masters. Then they also managed to become champions in ZOTAC Cup Masters and Galaxy Battles. It seems they are in top form and will fight hard at TI7.
