A 15-year-old boy kills his brother for being banned from playing PUBG

Cases of violence or murder that occur as a result of being inspired by video games are indeed being discussed, especially the game PlayerUnknown’s Battle Ground or what we know better as PUBG. One country that has many cases related to this game is India. The number of cases that have occurred in India has made several regions in India forbid their citizens to play this game.

A few days ago a new case appeared. A 15-year-old boy is reported to have killed his own brother after arguing over the game PlayerUnknown’s Battle Ground. This happened because his brother, Mohammad Shaikh, scolded his younger brother for playing PUBG. The brother asked his sister to stop playing the game. Intending to prevent his younger brother from becoming addicted to the PUBG game, his brother actually got an attack from his sister. The Shaikh’s younger brother was annoyed and gave up Shaikh by hitting the Shaikh’s head against the wall repeatedly. Not only that, the younger brother also stabbed Shaikh several times with scissors. When the local police arrived, Shaikh was finally taken to the hospital for treatment. But unfortunately Shaikh died on the way to the hospital due to his injuries.

The World Health Organization has officially declared that video game addiction is a disease. Addictive games can cause a person to lose mental balance. Many cases cause players to be sent to rehabilitation due to addiction to playing video games.

The rise of cases of video game addiction requires parents to control their children in playing games or in accessing the internet. This is very important for the mental health of the child. Instead of keeping the child at home, it causes the child to become addicted to playing video games or their cellphones.

There is no further clarity regarding the Shaikh case. However, this case adds to the list of PUBG’s bad image related to cases of violence and murder due to the Game PlayerUnknown’s Battle Ground (PUBG).
