CS:GO NiP Team Successfully Comes Out as Champion at Dreamhack Open Valencia 2017

The Ninjas in Pajamas team managed to come out as champions at the Dreamhack Open Valencia after defeating the Red Reserve team. This victory became a momentum for the NiP team after they had slumped throughout 2017.

In the finals, the first map to be played was Mirage where the map was the choice of the Red Reserve team. Sure enough, the Red Reserve team was able to take a quick lead with a 5-0 score on their map. But in the 6th round, Mikail “Maikelele” Bill was able to take the round for the NiP team with a defuse in the last seconds. The game was quite tight and the NiP team managed to reduce the difference to 6-9 for the Red Reserve team in the first half.

But in the second half where the NiP team played as CT, they played very well and only lost 1 round. That way they managed to win the first map with a final score of 16-10 for NiP.

The second map to play is Cache which is the choice of the NiP team. Team Ninjas in Pajamas was able to win a pistol round with the help of Fredrik “REZ” Sterner who was able to do 4 kills. In the first half the NiP team played very dominantly and managed to close the first half with a score of 13-2.

In the second half, the pistol round was again won by the NiP team and it closed the game for the Red Reserve team. Finally, the NiP team won the second map with a score of 16-2 and came out as champion at Dreamhack Open Valencia 2017.
