ITS Campus Holds Online Graduation Using Minecraft Game – ITS Campus held their 121st graduation using Minecraft.

The COVID-19 pandemic that is currently engulfing the world has indeed resulted in limitations in human movement or activity. Many jobs are being delayed or held virtually. One of them is graduation activities both from school to university level.

One of them is campus ITS or Ten November Institute of Technology Surabaya. Actually, ITS is not the only campus or university that holds online graduations. But what’s interesting about the graduation held by ITS is that they use games Minecraft as a virtual graduation procession.

ITS Online Graduation Using Minecraft

As you can see in the video below, precisely at the minute 22:26. Where in the video ITS displays the graduation procession. In general, someone goes up on stage to take a diploma and transfer the toga strap. They even presented congratulations from several ITS deans and rectors at the procession.

This online graduation in Minecraft was carried out by 14 people from the ITS Informatics Engineering Department team. Led by lecturer Hadqiz Fabroyir, the 15 people managed to build a virtual building from Graha ITS which was held in March 2021. Although it does not show the details of the building, but the building is very large and of course it took quite a long time to build a building of that size.

Although the online graduation in this Minecraft game is interesting and creative, unfortunately the video only airs from 22:26 to 23:42 minutes. Furthermore, the graduation ceremony will be held online, where each student’s name will be called one by one with a photo of the student displayed.

How? Interesting isn’t it, Gaess? Games are not only a means of entertainment, but if we can look further and deeper, of course there are benefits that we can use for real life purposes.
