Leaking! Google Creates Android OS For Feature Phones
Recently, a video uploaded by 9to5google appeared on the Youtube video page showing that Google is developing an Android operating system for feature phones.
In the video, we can see a featured phone that uses an Android-like system. On this phone there are also other Google-owned services such as Chrome, Gmail, Maps, Youtube, and several others. Not only that, in the video it is also seen that there is an application called Proxx which is called a clone of the Mineswaper game.
Unfortunately when this news was published, the video has been deleted. But Gamexran got a bit of information and screenshots of the phone. The information is that this featured phone is equipped with Android OS version 8.1 Oreo and there is a description of ‘Iron GAFF’ which is allegedly a ‘Google Android Feature Phone’ phone.
Reporting from Gamebrott, this rumor has been circulating for a long time since early last year, when the Chromium browser source code included a ‘no touch’ mode made for non-touch screen devices. Thanks to these findings, which eventually became an indication that Chrome would be venturing into feature phones for the first time. However, this rumor had disappeared after Google reportedly removed the source code from this OS in early September. However, thanks to the video uploaded by 9to5google on their Youtube channel, the rumors about the development of the OS have strengthened again.
