Nexon Injects Funds for Bandai Namco, SEGA, Konami and Hasbro!
Maybe most of you are already familiar with the name Nexon. They are one of the publishers and developers of well-known games. Call it like Lost Saga, Dragon Nest, TERA Online and many more. However, in recent years they have not been able to keep up with this fairly rapid development.
Which they are quite far behind with other companies. Now they are trying to catch up and of course survive in this pretty tough industry. One way they do it is to invest in other companies.
Fund injection from Nexon
Through its press release, Nexon announced that they will invest in several game companies such as SEGA, Konami, Bandai Namco to Hasbro. They said that they had spent around USD 1.5 billion or around 21 trillion rupiah for this investment.
This amount is greater than the previous year, which only reached USD 874 million. Not only that, Nexon also confirmed that they also invested in other places which they refused to provide details. They declined to provide further details regarding this matter.
SEGA, Konami to Bandai Namco
It is not yet clear where the investment funds will be anchored. Is it to a new IP being developed? Or even to the giant IP owned by these companies? Interesting for us to wait. Especially when it comes to Bandai Namco, SEGA and Konami.
Most likely there will be cooperation between Nexon and several Japanese game companies such as Bandai Namco, SEGA to Konami. What is your opinion about this? Give your feedback.
