Sony Stops Service for PlayStation 2 in Japan

Even though it’s no longer selling consoles PlayStation 2, Sony still supporting one of their most successful consoles by opening a service program called PlayStation Clinic in Japan. This program is specifically for owners of damaged PS2 consoles to be repaired directly by Sony authorized technicians.

Unfortunately, the latest news informs that PlayStation Clinic no longer receive PS2 console repair services starting September 7th. According to a report from Kotaku, the deadline for filling out forms for PS2 console repair applications started on August 31 yesterday.

PlayStation 2 was first launched in Japan in 2000 ago and became one of the best-selling consoles of all time.
