The International 10 Officially Breaks the Record for the World's Largest Esports Prize Pool
The International 10 (TI 10) officially holds the record for the largest esports tournament prize pool after crossing the USD 34 million mark.
In about 92 days after its release, The International 10 (TI 10) now has a prize pool that has taken the esports world by surprise. In early July, Dota 2 has just broken through 360 billion rupiah. In a relatively short time, the prize from TI 10 has officially occupied the largest prize in the history of esports tournaments with a total of more than 34,396,000 USD or almost equivalent to 500 billion rupiah, crossing the limit of The International 2019 (TI 9).
Last year, the biggest record in an esports tournament was achieved by Dota 2 through the TI 9 tournament with a prize pool of 34.3 million USD. The record was obtained in a period of 110 days and 19 hours.

For this year’s record, TI 10 managed to reach the record in 20 days faster than the previous year. Thanks to this breakthrough, Valve promised to give 10,000 Battle Points (10 levels) free to Battle Pass owners. Then, a further 10,000 Battle Pass Points will be awarded if the TI 10 prize pool breaks through 40,000,000 USD.
In the next few days, TI 10 Battle Pass will release the Windranger Arcana and Immortal Treasure III to increase sales before the Battle Pass season closes on September 19. The duration of this year’s Battle Pass was extended to compensate players after the game servers regularly went down in June.
As before, 25% of those sales will go into the prize pool. So, Dota 2 fans can expect a spike in the TI 10 prize pool before the Battle Pass expires.

The International Dota 2 has always been a record breaker for the largest prize pool thanks to the collective funding system implemented since TI 3. In fact, this prize pool record was also broken due to the delay in TI 10 reasons for the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since April, Valve as the developer of Dota 2, announced the postponement of the TI 10 tournament and until now it is still not possible to determine when this tournament will be held. Likewise with the postponement of the Dota Pro Circuit, the event that will determine players for TI 10.
So, how do you think LigaGamers friends about this TI 10 Dota 2 prize pool? In your opinion, will this prize pool break through 40 million USD or the equivalent of 587 billion rupiah?
