Tundra Esports managed to advance to the final upper bracket of the TI 10 WEU Qualification after winning over Team OG with a score of 2-0. The struggle for IT tickets in the Western European region seems to be still fierce. OG the defending champion TI was forced to compete in the lower bracket. This means that they will undergo a rematch or return to compete against Nigma who won over Team Liquid.

In the match against OG which took place on Saturday (10/7) in the morning, Tundra presented a perfect draft pick and gameplan as an antithesis for OG. In the second game, the draft pick Fata et al managed to crush OG and lock a 2-0 win. Tundra managed to counter two of OG’s mainstay strategies – with Magnus or Alchemist in the offlane position.
Tundra Esports vs OG Recap
Game 1
Tundra seems to want to give an antithesis to OG where Nine as a midlaner uses Winter Wyern. Nine shows off his hero’s terrifying power with Aghanim’s Scepter and packs a KDA 11-2-8. OG’s attempt to seize Roshan did give hope, but they fell behind in team strength. Nine with the Winter Wyvern being the dominant predator in every team fight until Tundra managed to knock down OG’s base in minute 33.
Games 2
Having the upper hand, Tundra managed to get around the draft pick. As a result, the lineup of heroes that OG has revealed seems to be without balance and synergy. OG chose offlane Alchemist, Leshrac in safelane, and Arc Warden in mid. Gloomy signs have started to appear for OG since the beginning of the game. Tundra continued to lead and even though they had lost in several team fights, Nine et al managed to rebuild their strength and lock the victory in the 42nd minute.

Highlights Tundra Esports vs OG
Tundra Esports’ performance has really improved compared to their game in DPC season 1 & 2. In the TI Qualification campaign, they were completely unbeaten and lost a single game. While OG has shown one of the best forms of play when defeating Team Nigma.
There was something interesting in the interview with Tundra Neta player “33” after the match. As is known, 33 had joined as a stand-in at OG at the ESL One Los Angeles 2020. The offlaner also revealed that he learned several things when he joined the two-time TI champion team.
“About my time with OG, I can say it helped but not directly. That doesn’t mean I know some of their weaknesses or how to beat them. It’s just that by playing with them for a month, I learned a lot of things that are considered common in Dota from them. Ceb and N0tail, as you know, are very smart about gameplay and strategy. I learned a lot about communication and yes, it helps our team a lot,” said Neta.
