This old hero fighter in Mobile Legends (ML) enters Meta again, how come?

Lapu-Lapu is one of the heroes of Mobile Legends (ML) that has been around for a long time. This hero was recently on revamp in October 2020 ago. Lapu-Lapu’s skill changed quite drastically, making him a born again Fighter.

Lapu-Lapu’s fame began when this hero was buffed several times after the revamp and began to be glimpsed by pro players in the MPLI 2 tournament.

Reporting from the conversation between SPIN Esports and AE.Pai which is one of the best offlaners in Indonesia. It says that Lapu-Lapu is tier 1 in the offlane, along with Esmeralda. Pai also predicts that Lapu-Lapu will become the ML fighter meta hero most often pick or tire in the upcoming tournament.

Wow, just a pro player to say that. What the heck makes Lapu-Lapu that good now?

1. High Durability, When Ultimate Defense rises and can be anti-CC

Lapu-Lapu has 2 playing modes, namely normal mode and Heavy Sword Stance mode (when Lapu-lapu uses ultimate when in normal mode). Upon entering Heavy Sword Stance mode, Lapu-lapu will receive additional physical and magic defense as much as 30-70 (depending on the ultimate skill level).

When entering Heavy Sword Stance, the 2 Lapu-Lapu skill will also get 15% damage reduction depending on the number of enemies hit. If there are 5 enemies who are hit, the damage reduced is 75%!

Then what makes the most Overpowered (OP) is the ultimate skill when Heavy Sword Stance is active, it will immune to CC (cannot be knocked, slow, stun, etc.).

The three defensive mechanisms above cause Lapu-Lapu to become very hard even in the midst of an attack by the opponent’s hero during a team fight.

2. High Mobility, Due to Skill 2 and Ultimate Leap

Not only thick, Lapu-Lapu also has high mobility for a fighter. Lapu-Lapu has 2 long-range dash skills that can be used for initiation or escaping from enemy heroes.

For additional mobility, Lapu-Lapu can also use the Flicker spell. So your jump distance can be 3x: skill 2, flicker, and ultimate skill (when in normal mode).

3. Damage Burst, Enemy Can Die Combo

Lapu-lapu is a typical hero who can burst his opponent with one combo. Combos from Lapu-Lapu are skill 1, Ultimate (enter Heavy Sword Stance mode), passive (make sure your passive bar is full), skill 1, and Ultimate (3 slashes).

It is guaranteed that most mage, assassin, and marksman (MM) heroes will disappear with burst damage from this combo. So Lapu-Lapu’s job is to mess up the backlines of the enemy team.

4. Strong Laning, Due to Passive and Skill 1

Today’s Meta fighters must be strong in laning 1 vs 1, and Lapu-Lapu is one of the fighters who can lan well because there are 2 skills.

When the passive bar is full, Lapu-Lapu will provide additional damage while hitting your opponent during an auto attack. Then when the opponent’s attack, he will also get a thick shield for a few seconds. Passive skill will also strengthen skill 1, which we throw at the opponent will give a slow.

The 1 throw sword skill will also give Lapu-Lapu the ease of laning. Lapu-Lapu can farm, repay the opponent, and lifesteal (with the Festival of Blood emblem) towards the opponent at once. So make sure your 1st skill is about minions and heroes at once.

5. Relevant, Strong from Early to Late

Lapu-Lapu is also a strong hero in all phases of your game, from early to late game. In the laning phase, once you get level 4, you can start joining ganking or team fighting. Even with limited items, Lapu-Lapu was very sick in the early game. Especially in the mid – late game where Lapu-Lapu’s damage and durability peaked.
