Minecraft Dungeons Will Have Optimal Touch Screen Control with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

With the release of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription service, players can play Minecraft Dungeons with a control scheme optimized for touchscreens.

Starting from September 15th, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have access to 100 different games on their mobile or tablet via cloud. Using the cloud, players can play Xbox games without having an Xbox or PC, just a phone or tablet, with the right controller.

One of those 100 games is Minecraft Dungeons. Unlike most of the other games on the service, Minecraft Dungeons doesn’t require a controller to play on your phone or tablet. In addition, the control scheme for Minecraft Dungeons has been optimized for touch screens. Mojang not only adds touch control into this game, they have redesigned the menu and user interface from the base for this version.

In addition, Minecraft Dungeons will have several different control schemes for players to choose from. Players can also change the orientation of the buttons on the screen such as swapping the joystick to move from left to right, and changing the rotation of other buttons to make it easier for players to reach. Microsoft says they will make Minecraft Dungeons feel like the game was designed from the start as a mobile game. For more examples of Minecraft Dungeons customization, watch the video above.

For readers who don’t know about Minecraft Dungeons, this game is a spin-off of Minecraft, the game sandbox made by Mojang which is still popular after 10 years. Minecraft Dungeons gameplay is not the same as Minecraft, where this game is an isometric action RPG game like Diablo and Path of Exile. The thing that unites Minecraft Dungeons with Minecraft is their theme. Minecraft Dungeons use the same known items, monsters and weapons from Minecraft.

Unfortunately Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will only be released in 22 countries on September 15, and Indonesia is not one of those countries. Microsoft still hasn’t announced which countries they will be adding to this list in the near future.
