Not as Expected, Cyberpunk 2077 Fails to Reach Predicted Sales Target

It seems like there is no day without interesting news coming from Cyberpunk 2077. This most ambitious game project from developer CD Projekt Red was awaited with great enthusiasm. At least until this game is finally released and leaves a bitter impression because of technical problems that really interfere with the playing experience. This is also especially felt by players of last-gen consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One).

But despite the existing problems, Cyberpunk 2077 is still very popular in the market and has successfully penetrated sales of 13 million copies worldwide. An extraordinary achievement indeed, especially considering that this game had received a massive refund. However, this result did not match the predictions of market analysts. They actually believe that Cyberpunk 2077 can record better results.

One of the comments came from an analyst named Piotr Bogusz from mBan, where he said that the market estimate for Cyberpunk 2077 sales was at over 16 million copies. CD Projekt Red also did not share information about how many refunds they recorded for Cyberpunk 2077. So it can be seen that the large refunds did affect analysts’ predictions.

For those of you who are curious about the game Cyberpunk 2077 has been officially released and can be played on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC. CD Projekt Red has promised periodic updates that will fix existing technical problems.
