Persona Celebrates 25th Anniversary with 7 New Projects, One of them Persona 6?

Since the release of Persona 5 which brought a big stir in 2015, Atlus’ flagship JRPG franchise has immediately gained high popularity and has even been recognized as one of the best RPG games ever. Its status, which has started to become a mainstream franchise, has made Atlus more serious in supporting its existence in the market. Approaching the 25th anniversary of the Persona franchise in a few months, they have opened a website that offers teasers of seven new projects.

The seven mysterious projects will begin to be announced in stages in September until the fall of 2022 later. If you have to predict, it is certain that one of them is for Persona 6 which is likely to be kept as a final surprise. Our suspicions are further strengthened when the pre-order merchandise section also provides a secret slot for the game and the main protagonist after Persona 5, which is quite clearly signaling the existence of a sixth sequel.

Other predictions might be related to remakes of old games, such as Persona 3 which was rumored several times to get a remake. Incidentally, the Dancing spin-off game from Persona 3 already has good 3D assets for character models and several locations in the game, so it’s possible that Atlus will use it as a basis for making a remake that will make their business easier. We’re also pretty sure that the seven projects aren’t for all games, as there’s a possibility that Persona 5 Royal will get a new anime adaptation like Persona 4 Golden in the past.

Instead of being curious, you can directly check the teaser website HERE. So what kind of dream Persona project are you most looking forward to? A remake of the old Persona game or a new sequel?
