Project Athia Changes Name to Forspoken, Confirmed to be Released in 2022
First announced at the PS5: The Future of Gaming event held last year, Project Athia is the latest game project from Luminous Productions, which previously held the role of the Final Fantasy XV development team. As if not wanting to make fans more curious about this game, Square Enix finally shared the latest details and gave the game’s official name, which this time changed to Forspoken.
Forspoken tells the story of an ordinary girl named Frey Holland who enters a fantasy world named Athia. The many dangers in this world require Frey to be able to control her new magic power and survive by becoming a true adventurer. The role of Frey in this game is played by a talented young actress Ella Balinska with a 3D model that has been matched exactly with her character.
Balinska commented that this was the first time he was involved in a game project. He admitted that he was amazed by the concept of combining fantasy and reality into one very interesting game from many aspects. Balinska also said that Frey is a character that is immediately suitable to be mastered, because he has a personality that feels real and can describe the reactions of many people when dragged into a big adventure in a fantasy world.
For the gameplay concept, Forspoken carries the action RPG genre with a focus on exploration to combat using magical powers. Utilizing technology from Luminous Productions’ special engine, the development team has focused on developing this game for the PlayStation 5 console in order to produce next-gen class quality.
When is the Game Released?
Fortunately, we also have a definite release schedule for Forspoken which is confirmed to fall in 2022. The game itself will be available for the PlayStation 5 and PC platforms. You can keep track of the latest developments from the game’s official website HERE.
