Sonic Finally Got A New Game For 2022, Will It Be Named Sonic Rangers?

Celebration events Sonic Central 30th Anniversary which was held last night also brought a big surprise at the end of his presentation. As expected, the surprise was none other than the latest game project from Sonic Team, the details of which still invite curiosity. The announcement of the game was showcased through a short cinematic trailer showing Sonic running through the forest and making a pattern with a mysterious logo. The trailer then closes with the scheduled release of the latest Sonic game in 2022 for mainstream console and PC platforms.

Speculation about the project is starting to emerge, but many fans are having a hard time getting an idea because most Sonic game teasers always start with a scene where the blue panda mascot is running in the forest. But at least there are some people who get interesting details from the source code of the teaser video in the 4K version, which is known to include the name “Sonic Rangers”. This detail might be a confirmation that the latest Sonic game will indeed be named Sonic Rangers.

Still regarding the Sonic game, SEGA through the presentation event last night also announced Sonic Colors Ultimate which is a remastered version of the original game in 2010. In addition to sharper graphic quality, there are additional features and new game modes that fans can anticipate. It is also said that there are improvements to the gameplay mechanism that are made more responsive and ready to add to the fun of playing.

It doesn’t stop there, the game will even get an adaptation of an animated series entitled Sonic Colors: Rise of the Wisps. The animated series will be divided into two parts, with the first episode ready to air this summer. Interestingly, this animated series again involves the role of Roger Craig Smith as the voice of Sonic.

So like the information above, the latest Sonic game project aka Sonic Rangers is planned to be released in 2022. For the platform, the game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC.
