Match Fixing Performed by S1lykos Team, From the Philippines
The game was not commendable by the roster of the DOTA 2 S1Lykos team from the Philippines. This incident occurred in the MSI Dragon Battle tournament when the S1Lykos team faced the Arcanys Gaming team.
One of the roster from the S1Lykos team, Karl “Goodboy” Jayme, was suspected of making unnatural mistakes several times, mistakes that should not have happened among pro DOTA 2 players, causing his team to lose. A DOTA 2 commentator, PocelainLilly, made a video on Youtube about the oddities he found during the game.
Even a Reddit user, Krampus626, discovered that there was a big bet before the match started, raising his suspicions. Reading slanted news about their organization, S1Lykos denied any match-fixing and said that the defeat they experienced was normal because the roster played poorly.
The team manager, Niel Dar Juan, also added that the roster played poorly because the internal conditions in the team were not conducive and the playing conditions were bad. In 2014 match fixing was carried out by a roster from the Philippines team, Arrow Gaming, they were banned from playing in all tournaments organized by Valve.
