Among Us has become a name that has been heard a lot in recent weeks. Gamers everywhere play it, from streamers to people working on their breaks.

This phenomenon is not difficult to understand. Among Us is a very simple game at its base, but it also has lots of little details that are hard to remember when you’re just starting out. Add the simple artstyle and the free mobile version, and Among Us has always had the potential to become a big name in gaming.

Unfortunately the game, which was released in June 2018, took 2 years to get the spotlight. Now with so much attention on the game, the developers from InnerSloth have been discussing what they’re going to do with Among Us. According to them, the Among Us game code makes it difficult for this game to add new content. Will they stop the update for Among Us 1? What features will they include in Among Us 2?

Even though InnerSloth had decided to make Among Us 2, they changed their mind to support Among Us 1 after seeing how many people liked this game. That’s why they’ve canceled Among Us 2 and they’re going to put all the new content they’ve created for Among Us 2 into Among Us 1. This is a more difficult path for the developers as they have to go deeper to change the Among Us 1 code.

In addition to increasing the server capacity of Among Us to support all the new players who have arrived in the last few months, Innersloth also provides several things that may be coming soon:

  • Server problem. One of the developers is working hard to tackle this. They don’t have an ETA, but this problem will gradually get better.
  • Colorblind support. They also plan to add another way of getting to know players and tasks with different colors such as cable tasks.
  • Friends/Account system. This is something they have always wanted to do but haven’t been able to do. They will still try to implement it, but this feature will probably take more time.
  • New stages. This feature is still new and they are just starting to design this stage layout. But they have chosen the theme for this new stage which is Henry Stickmin.
