David Denis, Psychologist Who Coached Team Valorant T1
T1 as one of the esports organizations in North America is preparing to enter the competitive Valorant scene this season. However, in the middle of the journey the team was hit by a little problem with the coach Daniel “fRoD” Montaner. The legend of the CS:GO pro player had different opinions about “ethics and opinions about how to run a team / organization” until finally deciding to resign on January 13, 2021.
T1 then points David Denis as the main coach (head coach) for the VALORANT team for the 2021 competition season. Some consider T1’s decision to be quite brave because Denis has not been in the Valorant scene or FPS games for too long. However, the figure of Denis who has a background in psychology is certainly expected to be able to guide the team to achieve the best performance. The reason is, T1 failed to advance in the open qualifier of Valorant Challengers NA after losing to Andbox. They will try to get tickets in the next open qualifier phase with a new coach.
