Dota 2 Professional Team Roster Change Recap Post The International 7 (Part 3)

After The International 7 event ended, many pro teams immediately stepped on the gas to revamp the roster. This is based on the team’s performance which may be below management’s expectations. Who are the teams that have made the overhaul?

10. Team Alliance

After failing to appear in The International 7. The Swedish team decided to release 3 of their players at once. They are the captain of the team namely Simon ‘Handsken’ Haag, their mid player is Linus ‘Limmp’ Blomdin and offlaner namely Jonas ‘jonassomfan’ Lindholm. Then there was a shocking news released by former Alliance team captain Jonathan ‘Loda’ Berg tweeting “I Will Return” indicating that he might return to the Dota 2 scene by becoming a captain for Team Alliance.

Current Team Alliance roster:

– Adrian ‘Era’ Kryeziu
– Axel ‘Pablo’ Källman
– Jonathan ‘Loda’ Berg (Rumors)

11. TnC Pro Team

After only being able to reach 9-12 positions at The International 7, the coach and analyst of this team, Murielle “Kipspul” Huisman, decided to leave the team. Maybe this is due to the decline in achievements achieved by the team from the Philippines because at TI 6 they managed to reach 7-8 position. However, unlike the TnC Pro Team roster, even though there was a decline in performance, the management still believed in them and maintained the whole team.

TnC Pro Team’s current roster:

– Marc Polo “Raven” Luis Fausto
– Carlo “Kuku” Palad
– Samson Solomon “Sam_H” Enojosa Hidalgo
– Timothy ‘Tims’ Randrup
– Theeban “1437” Siva

12. Peter “ppd” Dager is Back

Peter “ppd” Dager was part of the Evil Geniuses team when they won The International 5. Then in 2016 he moved to the North American regional team, WanteD and his last match with the team was in qualifying for the Kiev Major 2016. In 2016 The Evil Geniuses team offered Peter “ppd” Dager the position of CEO and he accepted the offer. After that he retired as a pro player and focused on carrying out his work as CEO of the Evil Geniuses team. Now it is reported that ppd has decided to quit his position to return to being a pro player again, but it is still unknown which team will use the services of ppd.

13. Warriors Gaming Unity

The Malaysian Dota 2 team, WarriorsGaming Unity, will make a dramatic roster change by completely overhauling its team and bringing 2 players from the CIS and Europe regions into the team to boost their performance. Even though they brought 2 players from outside the SEA region, this team was still dominated by players who were quite well known in SEA. They are Galvin “Meracle” Kang Jian Wen from Singapore, Kim “Velo” Tae-sung from Australia, and Kenneth “Flysolo” Coloma from the Philippines. As for the 2 foreign players they are Feras “Feero” Hroob from Jordan and Khaled “sQreen” El-Khabbash from Russia.

WarriorsGaming Unity’s current roster:

– Galvin “Meracle” Kang Jian Wen
– Feras “Feero” Hroob
– Kim “Velo” Tae-sung
– Khaled “sQreen” El-Khabbash
– Kenneth “Flysolo” Coloma

14. Cloud9

After poor results during The International 7 event, the United States team, Cloud9, decided to disband their entire roster in order to get a total change to the team. The Cloud9 team surprisingly played very badly when they competed at The International 7. Being able to penetrate the TI 7 event through the North America regional qualifier with the Digital Chaos team, was not directly proportional to their game. During the group phase they were only able to pack 6 wins and 10 defeats and finally had to fall in the Lower Bracket when they met Team Empire and had to settle for 12-16 positions.

Disbanded Cloud9 roster:

– Jacky ‘EternaLEnVy’ Mao
– Adrian ‘FATA-‘ Trinks
– Arif ‘MSS’ Anwar
– Ling ‘Aui_2000’ Kurtis
– Johan ‘pieliedie’ ström
