Illusion Officially Enters Team Unique, After Two Months Become Stand-In

It’s been two months since Illusion has been a backup Dota 2 player, now officially the main player for Team Unique.

Team Unique failed to qualify for the ESL One Birmingham Online playoffs. However, their performances are still extraordinary thanks to the actions of the reserve player, Illusion.

Danil “illusion” Volchan, a 17-year-old support player from Ukraine, helps the whole team maintain 9th place in ESL One Los Angeles 2020 – Online: Europe & CIS, sixth in Epic Prime League Season 1, and the eleventh in ESL one Birmingham 2020 – Online: Europe and CIS.

Illusion also competed as a Team Unique player last month on WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 2, and managed to get second place and promotion to Division 1 for the following season.

Illusion Officially Becomes Team Unique’s Permanent Player

On Monday (1/6/2020), Unique’s manager, Gleb Antokhin officially announced the inclusion of Illusion as a permanent player in Team Unique.

“[Illusion] put on an excellent performance at ESL LA, so we decided to give him a month to adapt and see the final result,” said Gleb Antokhin. “It was quite a long test and he got through it. Danil is a young player, who has just started the early stages of his career. We hope that he will be a successful player in the future.”

Team Unique is the only team to beat Team Secret in the ESL One Birmingham Online group stage. With the inclusion of Illusion, they are ready to establish a winning roster for the upcoming Dota 2 tournament.
