Joshua 'LJ' Dharmansyah Responds to Viral '?' Emo Invictus Gaming in Singapore Major Final

Invictus Gaming has just won the ONE Esports Singapore Major title after defeating Evil Geniuses in a super dramatic match on Sunday (4/4). Imagine, Invictus who was defeated by EG 0-2 in the upper bracket, seemed to be helpless in the final again and left 0-2.

Invictus was made helpless and even almost gave up in the third game, but Dota2 lovers and the community were presented with a long fight after Zhou “Emo” Yi et al managed to catch up so the match had to play all BO-5 games. In the comeback moment, a unique chat from Emo appears in the column. Well, Emo chat is in the form of a ‘?’ It then became a byword and went viral in the esports community.

Emo sent the chat to all after the Void Spirit Hero he used managed to crush EG heroes one by one. The hero carry played by Emo was indeed too “fat” so he easily slaughtered Abed and his friends. Many considered that moment to be the beginning of the revival of Invictus Gaming, as well as a “taunt” who managed to shake the opponent’s mentality.

After that, the Chinese team played with more energy and stepped on the gas creating an epic comeback so that they turned around to win 3-2 with a match time of more than 4 hours and won the Singapore Major trophy.

The question mark (?) chat suddenly went viral among Indonesian Dota 2 esports fans, and even the world. The official Dota2Indonesia Instagram account also captured the moment through a screenshot. Unexpectedly, the post was responded to by the Team Secret account.

This chat thread is getting hype by a famous female streamer, PindaPanda, who also enliven Emo’s salty moment with a post on his Instagram and the caption:
“From now on, all the matches I play will start with “?”.

Well, the “?” what Emo sends via chat in game //all is indeed very multi-interpretable, but for some players or pro players it is enough to understand the meaning and direction. After ‘?’ viral in the Dota 2 scene, Mobile Legends players who mostly also follow the Dota 2 esports scene also talked about it.

One of the retainers of EVOS Legends, Joshua LJ Dharmansyah, also discussed the taunting chat ‘?’ from Emo. LJ, a seasoned MLBB pro player since Season 1, also plays Dota and faithfully follows the scene. According to the young American blooded, the sign ‘?’ it can attack the opponent’s mind. Pro esports players often do this in order to “beat” the enemy’s mentality in order to excel in the match.
“From the first, the most effective way to bring down the enemy’s concentration was using chat all: ?” he said on Instagram Stories.

Can a punctuation mark change the game (?) What Zhou “Emo” Yi did was certainly not a coincidence until Invictus Gaming finally managed to turn things around in the Major final. In the end, how to beat the opponent is not just a matter of ability, but also mental capacity and pressure on the opponent.
