Moba Mobile Game Developer, Mobile Legends Gets Demands From Riot Games
The mobile game that is currently on the rise, namely Mobile Legends, seems to have to undergo a legal case after Riot Games filed a lawsuit against Shanghai Moonton Technology through the California courts.
Indeed, at a glance, the Mobile Legends game is very similar to Riot Games’ League of Legends game. It can even be said that the Mobile Legends game is a mobile version of League of Legends because of the similarities in gameplay and other things.
In fact, Riot Games has tried to communicate with Shanghai Moonton Technology to immediately withdraw the Mobile Legends: 5V5 MOBA game from the Play Store or App Store. This was done by the developer, but soon they re-released the game with another name, namely Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
It is estimated that for this act of copyright infringement, Mobile Legends has managed to get a profit of up to millions of dollars. The lawsuit only entered a California court last week and is still under investigation.
Do you think the Mobile Legends game violates copyright?
