MOBA 'Pokemon Unite' Will Open Beta Test Stage For Android Users

The dominance of the MOBA genre game until now still holds strong and never fails to attract attention. Apart from the massive player base especially on PC and mobile, this genre is also the main focus in many Esports tournaments. For this reason, there are still many developers who continue to explore this genre, including the Pokemon Company which is collaborating with Tencent to develop the latest MOBA game Pokemon Unite.

Regardless of the positive and negative responses the game has received since it was announced, we can’t deny that a MOBA game that brings monsters from the Pokemon series into battle is an interesting idea. After being absent from new information for a long time, the Pokemon Company finally announced the opening of the stage Beta Test for Pokemon Unite.

The Beta Test which will be held in March is only for Android users. So for players who are interested in trying the game first, they can directly access the official page on the Google Play Store. Here they have also summarized the criteria needed to take the Beta Test:

This Beta Test is only for players in Canada region
Registered players must be over 16 years old
The progress that is successfully achieved will be repeated after the Beta Test is complete
It is forbidden to record or stream gameplay during the Beta Test

The Pokemon Company also provided an update on how the development of the game has been going smoothly so far. They have managed to bring an overhaul starting from the addition of new Pokemon, a more refined gameplay system, smoother visual quality, and much more. Due to the ban on recording gameplay from this Beta Test session, unfortunately some of us have not been able to see the new changes offered by the game.

When is the Game Released?

For those of you who can’t wait for the game, Pokemon Unite is currently still in the development stage for mobile. There is no release date yet, but the game will be available for free and cross-platform support with Nintendo Switch users.
