Prepare Virtual Game World Project, Mihoyo Establishes Brain Chip Making Lab

If you’ve been following the news about Genshin Impact or the situation from the developer himself, there’s definitely a chance that you’ve heard of miHoYo’s plans to create a real virtual game world. This project that sounded like a dream turned out to be not just a hoax, because in fact miHoYo has already started the preparation stage, including setting up a special laboratory to make a kind of high-tech chip to be connected to the brain.

Through the latest information from well-known game analyst Daniel Ahmad through his Twitter account, it is known that miHoYo has collaborated with Shanghai Jiaotong medical university (Ruijin hospital) for the construction of the lab. The project they are currently focusing on relates to neuromodulation therapy to suppress depression.

From here, they will continue to focus on finding new therapies using the latest technology and medical knowledge. So before entering the stage where they will create the virtual world technology that is dreamed of, it must be ensured that the brain chip and the technology that supports it must be completely safe to use.

Talking about the safety of the project itself, it turns out that this chip implant technology has already begun to be applied in neuromodulation therapy at Ruijin Hospital and has passed the review stage. Since it is still a new research in China, they plan to continue recruiting adults with other symptoms of depression to perfect the technology.

If everything goes according to plan, then 2030 may be an even more advanced era for the gaming industry, especially for gamers who want to experience the sensation of adventuring in the original virtual world which has only been a dream.
