Removed from Evil Geniuses, Ramzes666 Wants to Play Again in Europe!

Ramzes666 via Twitter reported that he was no longer part of Evil Geniuses. This Russian national player became a free agent (a player without a team) after deciding not to renew his contract with Evil Geniuses (EG). So where will Ramzes666 anchor next?

As announced via his personal Twitter, as of February 1, 2021, Roman “Ramzes666” Kushnarev is no longer part of the Evil Geniuses esports organization. In line with that, Evil Geniuses also announced the departure of the player via their Twitter. Ramzes666 left Evil Geniuses because he decided not to renew his contract.

Ramzes666’s decision not to extend his contract may be related to the location of EG’s headquarters in the United States with Ramzes666’s domicile in Russia. Although the results achieved by EG were not bad throughout 2020, the pandemic and circumstances seemed to force Ramzes666 to leave EG.

Ramzes666, who joined EG since September 2019, has actually been replaced by Daryl Koh “Iceiceice” Pei Xiang since November 2020 and Ramzes666 himself has been on the bench by EG since the arrival of Iceiceice.

Although his stay with EG was relatively short, on his Twitter Ramzes666 said that he was happy and grateful to his colleagues and the management team of EG. Ramzes666 who used to play in the carry position had to succumb to being an offlaner when playing for EG.

For his own future it is not clear where Ramzes666 will anchor, but from Ramzes6666’s interview with the Russian-language site cyber.sports.ru, he said that it is possible he will return to playing in Europe or the CIS (Eastern Europe). According to Ramzes666, this is a logical decision to take, because according to him in these two regions he will not be constrained by language and other things.

Still from the same interview, Ramzes666 also said that he did not rule out the possibility to play with any team, both big and small teams in order to qualify for The International 10. In addition he also said, if necessary, then he would create his own team and struggling to secure tickets for The International 10 through the open qualifier.

But Artiom “fng” Barshack, support from the Alliance team has a different opinion about Ramzes666’s move and his ambition to secure a place at The International 10. Quoted from the fng live stream, he thinks that Ramzes666 might join his former teammate at Virtus.Pro.

Fng argues that there is a possibility that Ramzes666 will join Solo and No[o]One to face DPC 2021 Season 2 and secure a ticket to The International 10. Even though Solo is currently competing in the DPC 2021 regional CIS Upper bracket with the NoTechies team, this does not rule out the possibility of swapping some players for No.[o]One and Ramzes 666.

Considering that the three of them had triumphed together while defending Virtus.Pro in 2016-2019 and a brief reunion in the JustError team. But luck favors Solo, because he can participate in the 2021 DPC with NoTechies, while Ramzes666 and No[o]One does not participate.

It’s a shame that Ramzes666 left EG, but with the ability and potential it has, it certainly won’t take long for Ramzes666 to return to competing in the Dota 2 scene, we’ll just have to wait and see how fate will bring Ramzes666 to The International 10! GL HF!
