Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Movie Looks Like It Will Bring Knuckles

Bringing a game in the form of big screen viewing is a challenge that is never easy. We have even seen examples of his failed project since 1993 through the film adaptation of Super Mario Bros., which despite its high popularity status could not save it from harsh criticism. The same thing fortunately managed to be avoided by Paramount Pictures through the film adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog, in which the film successfully beat Detective Pikachu and set the record for the largest game adaptation film opening.

With the development of the sequel planned to air in 2022, the studio has now started an active shooting process which turned out to be quite lax in terms of security. As a result, many outside sources managed to get photos to video recordings of the film’s shooting locations that showed some interesting details. One of the most striking is the replica of the statue of Knuckles the Echidna on the set.

Based on posts from Twitter page @TailsChannel, he shows a photo of Knuckles side by side with Sonic and Tails. We already know that Tails will indeed appear in the second film later which is marked by his cameo in the first End Credit film, and the sequel’s logo showing Tails’ tail. But Knuckles has so far seen no signs of an appearance apart from rumors circulating before the premiere of the first film, or the appearance of the Echidna tribe in the film’s early intro.

There is no official confirmation, it’s just that this news may be enough evidence to prove that Knuckles will indeed appear in the second film later. I mean, just imagine, why did the studio bother making a replica of the character if in the end it wouldn’t appear or at least make a cameo in End Credit like Tails.

When is the Movie Showing?

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 itself is scheduled to premiere on April 8, 2022. You can follow the YouTube channel Paramount Pictures to get the fastest update when a new trailer is released for the film.
