Spider-Man: Homecoming New Villain Revealed

Another new enemy that seems to be faced by Tom Holland in the film Spider-Man: Homecoming. A super villainnamed The Shocker or Herman Schultz played by Bokeem Woodbine seen at the shooting location of this film, Atlanta, Georgia. This was revealed thanks to several pictures uploaded by a Twitter user using the name @abouttomholland.

Previously, it was also confirmed that the presence of an enemy named The Tinkerer or Phineas Mason will be played by Michael Chernus (Orange Is the New Black). While the main enemy of Spider-Man in Homecoming is a Vulture figure played by Michael Keaton.

The Shocker is a supervillain who has an alter ego named Herman Schultz. This villain character was created by Stan Lee and artist John Romita, Sr. and first appeared on The Amazing Spider-Man #46 (March 1967). He is an inverter who has a brilliant brain. He then becomes a supervillain suit creating a pair of bracelets/gloves that can emit high-frequency wind power and vibrations.

About Spider-Man: Homecoming

Spider-Man Homecoming will star Tom Holland who plays Peter Parker and Marisa Tomei who will play Aunt May, and Michael Keaton who is plotted as a villain named Vulture. A new enemy will also appear, namely The Tinkerer or Phineas Mason, which will be played by Michael Chernus (Orange Is the New Black). Several actors have also recently joined this project, such as Donald Glover, Kenneth Choi, Jona Xiao and Michael Barbieri.

Meanwhile, the director of this film project will be occupied by Jon Watts (Cop Car) will direct the film based on a script written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal will serve as producers of this Marvel and Sony collaboration project.

Homecoming is the title of the comic The Amazing Spider-Man #252 released in 1984. This comic written by Tom DeFalco and illustrated by Ron Frenz has storyline which revolves around the return of Peter Parker to New York City after getting the Venom costume from the events of Secret Wars. This venom costume from Homecoming may not appear in reboot Spider-Man movie, considering that Sony will be making a solo film about Venom.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released on July 7, 2017.
