Tencent Releases New PUBG Anti-Cheat System, 10 Years Ban for Spectator Cheat Users!

Cases of finding hackers and cheaters in PUBG Mobile are not new. Even pubg mobile cheats are often used in big PUBG tournaments.

In a Reddit post about the Livik map (the newest PUBG Mobile map), players are starting to feel annoyed about the increase in pubg cheat users.

In recent years, Tencent has tried to tackle the cheater problem by issuing a 10-year ban for players caught using cheats. However this seems to be ineffective.

What is the PUBG Mobile Spectator Cheat?

In the PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) fall split online qualifiers 2020 tournament, the PUBG community found some evidence of hackers.

This hack is called a “cheat spectator” or “system spectating,” where players use two smartphones.

One of the smartphones is used to play normally. While the second smartphone is equipped with an “x-ray vision” plug-in, and logs in using a different pubg account (spectator).

With this x-ray vision hack, players can get important information such as the location of the enemy. For PUBG fans, you definitely know how important this information is in winning the battle royale game.

It seems that, for now, not many have used the pubg cheat, so the current pubg system can’t detect it. What’s more, game developers themselves are aware that the x-ray cheat mode is one type that is very difficult to resist.

New PUBG Anti-Cheat System To Detect Spectator Cheats

To prevent the same case, Tencent will soon announce a new anti-cheat in the upcoming PUBG Mobile update.

In Reddit post , Tencent explains how this new anti-cheat system works. The game server will detect if the enemy can be seen in the player’s eyes or not. Otherwise, the spectator account automatically can’t see the enemy either. Vice versa.

Tencent itself is aware that in the future there will be a new x-ray vision cheat (or something similar), whether used directly or indirectly. The PUBG game developer again reminded the sanctions from cheat and hack users, namely 10 years of ban. They also promised a more sophisticated anti-cheat system to ensure this competitive game is fair.
