The Dark Horse Team Was Able To Defeat The Number 1 SK Gaming CS:GO Team At ESL One Cologne 2017

There was a surprise at the 2017 ESL One Cologne tournament where 2 big teams were knocked down by a dark horse team. The champion of ECS Season 3 and the 1st place in the world CS:GO team, namely SK Gaming, had to lose to the Space Soldiers team!!

The Virtus.Pro team, which recently won the Adrenaline Cyber League, had to lose to the Immortals team on the Cobblestone Map. Even though the VP team was able to take the first 4 rounds without significant resistance. But unfortunately, suddenly the Immortals team played well and was able to get 7 rounds in a row. Fortunately Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski from the Virtus.Pro team was able to do 4 kills and destroy the momentum of the Immortals team. The first round closed with a score of 8-7 for VP.

In the second round, the Immortals team was able to get the points first and continue to maintain the momentum. A brilliant action from Vito “kNg” Giuseppe with 4 kills allowed the Immortals team to maintain the lead and win the match with a final score of 16-12. Final results via HLTV:

The most surprising thing happened in the match between the SK Gaming team (1st Place) and the Space Soldiers team (26th Place). In Map Cache, the Space Soldiers team that became the Terrorist team was able to put out a very good and very compact game where Engin “ngiN” Kor was able to do 1 VS 4 Clutch which made them lead 12-3 in the first round.

Then SK Gaming finally started to rise and could close their gap until the score became a draw 12-12. But it seems that the SK Gaming team’s concentration has been drained and made them have to lose several stages again until the game finally enters overtime.
