The King of Fighters XV Showcases the Gameplay of Mai Shiranui's Favorite Waifu

Today SNK has finally released details of one of the fans’ favorite fighters who will return in the latest game The King of Fighters XV. The fighter is none other than the waifu figure of a million people who is none other than Mai Shiranui. As usual, the shared details of the characters are summarized in trailers as well as a collection of the latest screenshots.

We happened to have seen Mai sightings in the previous few trailers, so it’s not surprising to see her return to the KOF XV roster, especially from her status as a fan favorite character that must be in every series. In terms of design, Mai is still wearing her typical ninja costume, including the 3D model in the game which looks charming as usual.

For those of you who may not be familiar with the character, Mai is a kunoichi who is the successor of the Shiranui ninja techniques that have been passed down to her. Using a large fan as her main weapon, Mai has an agile and elegant fighting style, like a charming butterfly that can sting like a bee.

Incidentally Andy Bogard who is Mai’s girlfriend is also confirmed to be present at KOF XV as a new fighter character, so it will be very interesting to see the development of the romance between the two. Will it end up according to fans’ expectations? what is clear we can only wait until the new game is released.

When is the Game Released?

The King of Fighters XV is currently still in development and is planned for release in 2021. Although the release is quite close, for now there is no information regarding the availability of the platform. Maybe the SNK will share more complete information after showing off the details of all the existing fighter characters.
