TI 6 Grand Finalists Receive Direct Invitations to Dota Pit Season 5
Wings Gaming and Digital Chaos were the 2 teams that received direct invitations to the Dota Pit Season 5 tournament. As we all know, Wings Gaming and Digital Chaos were the champions and runners up in the TI6 tournament. The regional preliminaries will be held on October 15th.
A total of 6 teams that qualify from the regional preliminaries will compete in the final which will take place at the Spaladium Arena, Split, Croatia on 20-22 January. A total of 8 teams will compete for a prize pool of $125,000 or 1.6 billion rupiah.
The regional qualifiers will be held in a GSL group stage format with the winner from each group entitled to a ticket for the LAN final. The following is the list of teams participating in the regional preliminaries:
EU – 2 groups – Alliance, Kaipi, OG, ALTERNATE aTTaX – Team Secret, Ad Finem, Team Liquid, Flipsid3 Tactics
CIS – 1 group – Vega, Virtus.Pro, Na’Vi, Team Empire
SEA – 1 group – Mineski, Fnatic, Execration, MVP
CN – 1 group – Newbee, Invictus Gaming, ViCi Gaming, EHOME
NA – 1 group – Complexity, Team NP, Evil Geniuses, TBA (to be announced later)
