How to Play Among Us on Android and iOS
Games Among Us itself is available on various platforms, such as PC and HP (Android and iOS).
Make sure you download Among Us on the Appstore (iOS) or Google Playstore (Android). The mobile version of this game is free and only takes about 70MB.
To start the game, you can choose between online or local.
- Local means using a local network without the need for internet. You can use the hotspot to play with friends.
- Online means you can create games or find games (public / using code). If you become a host, there will be options for settings such as setting the number of players, the number of impostors, and choosing a map.
The Settings button on the screen is used to change the language in Among Us. However, there is currently no Indonesian language option.
List of Settings Settings Among Us
As already explained, only the host can change the settings Among Us. Settings can be changed in the lobby by clicking the “Customize” (computer-shaped) button at the bottom right of the screen, then clicking the “Game” tab. Here are the settings that you can change as Host:
- Impostors: Number of in-game Importers. Limit indicates the minimum number of impostors allowed.
- Confirm Ejects: If “on,” this feature will tell you whether the person being issued is an impostor or not.
- Emergency Meetings: Set the number of emergency meetings that can be applied to each player from the center area of the map.
- Emergency Cooldown: How long players have to wait to hold the next emergency meeting.
- Discussion Time: How long the discussion on Impostor took before voting (in seconds).
- Voting Time: How long players are given time to vote. Can be used as additional discussion time.
- Crewmate Vision: How far the crewmate can see the surrounding area.
- Impostor Vision: How far the impostor can see the surrounding area.
- Player Speed: How fast the player can run. Used to increase and decrease speed.
- Kill Cooldown: How long does the impostor have to wait to do the next kill.
- Kill Distance: Sets the distance for the impostor to kill crewmates.
- Visual Tasks: Some tasks have visibility (players can see other players performing the task). If players are seen doing the task, it proves that they are not impostors.
- Common Tasks: The simplest tasks in the game.
- Long Tasks: The task that takes the longest. Need to work in several locations.
- Short Tasks: The fastest task to complete.
For the balance of game dynamics, you can use the recommended standard ratio between Crewmember and imposter that is often used:
- One impostor for less than 5 players
- 2 impostor for 5-7 players
- 2-3 impostor for 8-10 players
The more impostors, it is recommended to set a longer kill cooldown (above 40 seconds) and a short kill distance.
Among Us . Basic Rules
Among Us supports up to ten players at once. Players will be divided into Imposters and Crewmates. The role will be randomly selected at the start of the game.
These two roles have different missions to win the game.
How to Play Among Us as a Crewmate
Crewmates have a role to do tasks and find out who the Imposters are.
- Crewmates will win if they can complete all the tasks.
- They can hold meetings for discussion and vote to issue Impostors.
- To do tasks, you need to walk to the correct room and click on the object or ‘Use’ button. The task to be done is quite easy and clear.
- For emergency meeting, press the button in the middle of the map.
- If you find a murdered crewmate, click ‘Report’ to enter into the discussion and determine who the Impostor is.
- If killed, the player can still help complete the task as a ghost, but cannot communicate.
How to Play Among Us as an Impostor
Impostor has the role of secretly killing crewmates until the number of crewmates is equal to the impostor. Depending on the game settings by the hosts, there can be a maximum of 3 impostors in the game.
Unlike crewmates, Impostors are given more abilities than Crewmates.
- Impostor cannot run tasks. However, given the ability to pretend to do tasks.
- Impostor can kill a crewmate by pressing the ‘Kill’ button. Remember, there will be a cooldown time between each kill, according to the game settings by the host.
- Impostor can ‘Report’ after killing to enter into the discussion, or ignore it and run away.
- You have the ‘Sabotage’ ability which is useful for lock down area or machine compromise in the map. Impostor could fix his Sabotage results to avoid suspicion.
- Sabotage is useful for slowing down crewmates in completing tasks. Some sabogae such as turning off the oxygen engine can kill them if not repaired within a certain time.
- Impostors have a special skill where they can use ‘Vent’ to hide and explore the map faster. However, the cooldown and sabotage times stop while in the vent. The ‘Vent’ button will appear when the player is close to the vent area.
- Make sure no crewmates see you when entering/exiting the Vent.
