Uncharted Film Project Will Start Shooting Next Year
After being held back for some time due to having experienced a change of director and writer, finally a film project Uncharted starting to show progress. Directed by Shawn Levy, film adaptation action-adventure video games this one will finally start shooting next year.
In his conversation with Collider, Levy revealed this.
“I feel excited to make it (Uncharted) next year. Yes, that’s my next project… I’m not messing with Uncharted. I’m very committed to this and I’m there, in the script with Joe Carnahan, who knows very well what he’s doing; It’s been a really fun collaboration.”
With a script written by the author behind State of Affairs and Stretch, Levy added that the shooting process will not take place before March. The process will begin at least in late spring or early summer.
Regarding the actor who will play the main character, Levy said that he had thought it through carefully. However, discussions are still being carried out by the studio with the producers to determine the cast. Director of television series Stranger Things it’s also revealed he’s received quite a bit of advice on lead actors to Uncharted from his fans.
“All of the actors (suggested) were very handsome, all famous movie stars, and had square jaws, stiff faces resembling (Nathan) Drake. I’m not going to set a casting standard based on suggestions (given on) Twitter. But, maybe I have already mentioned the name who will join this project in the future, who knows?”
Uncharted is a series video games released by Sony Interactive Entertainment with development done by Naughty Dog, Bend Studio, and Bluepoint Games. Tells about an adventurer and treasure hunter named Nathan Drake who travels around the world, just like Indiana Jones or Tomb Rider. First released in 2007 with the first series entitled Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, followed by Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and pre-quelit’s entitled Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
